Vancouver Fringe Feature: The Adventures of Rocketman and Beano

Is it clown without the nose? We think so! There are many takes on what makes a clown, but we feel that clowning is a place you go to in yourself rather than a thing you do. Sound deep? We think it is!

Christine Longé and Tom Spangenberg

Cleverly combining clowns, comic books, superheroes… and Shakespeare, The Adventures of Rocketman and Beano presents an epic tale of epic deeds and epic villains, presented by a pair of epic idiots featuring actor, writer, director and dancer Tom Spangenberg and clown, actor, dancer, acrobalancer, mask performer, puppeteer, writer, director and educator Christine Longé with original music composed by John T. Knight (The Mondegreens, Stardate Records), lighting design by wizard John Small, and the detail-oriented direction of Sarah Liane Foster (Dell’Arte graduate,Gravity: Is It True?).

Blue Eyes Brown Eyes’ The Adventures of Rocketman and Beano plays at the False Creek Gym  as part of the 2017 Vancouver Fringe Festival September 07 to 17.
