Ten years ago on this date, BKYN (or Brooklyn) opened at the Plymouth Theatre, then named the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre and starred Wicked and Rent’s Eden Espinosa, West Side Story’s Karen Olivo, Dreamgirls’ Cleavant Derricks, and Caroline Or Change’s Ramona Keller, among others.

The short lived musical had memorable songs, including Once Upon A Time, which are available on a live recording and before the show opened, select songs became available to the public for free, making a good EP prior to the opening.
